I am generally pleased because of Things™®. That is to say – my mood is stable enough that I am just in a generally good mood, and that it’s easy to maintain. Do some crafting in LotRO? Yay! Work on a scarf for my daughter? Yay! Bake something? Yay! Granted, my particular lifestyle is a very laid-back one with oodles of free time, which means that I am more able than most to take a more casual approach to achievement. As long as I can reprogram myself to realize that I don’t always need to be doing and achieving, then what I do manage to do is even more splendid. It’s about drawing enjoyment and pleasure from one’s actions, rather than just needlessly grinding oneself down to a nub. I’m much too clever at nubmanship, and really – this isn’t good for anyone to be good at. Society would be a lot better if we all just realized that it is not feasibly possible to give 110% (and that giving 100% all the time is pretty damned stupid too).
So yeah, back to me enjoying my leisure time. 😉
