The sun is shining, the temperature hasn’t become ridiculous yet, and I woke up feeling closer to human – huzzah! Of course, instead of going outside and enjoying nature, I take myself and…. do chores.  I had a big one that’s been nagging at me for weeks – dusting out my computer. I don’t know if other people have computers that get as dusty, but mine… she’s a bit finicky. If I don’t keep her relatively dusted out, she is quite happy to shut down and break components. Granted, that’s happened only three times – once was the main cooling fan, once was the cooling fan on the motherboard (the clip that held it in place snapped), and once the video card… on which the cooling fan had broken. Hrm, seeing a pattern here.  *giggles* That, or there are too many things that are too powerful in the tower… probably a bit of both.

Chores are a nice distraction from the world, which threatens to squish my brain. The US government’s brinkmanship game is annoying me, if only for the fact that the rich are going to continue to get richer, and the deficit is going to continue to get even more ridiculously huge. It’s more than quintupled in my lifetime from the point where we were all but promised a near and future day that we’d see an end to the deficit. And on this side of the pond, we’ve got the ‘other’ Royal wedding happening up in Scotland, though if the news is being saturated in cover, I don’t know – Mythbusters re-runs are infinitely more amusing, and one of the better ways to slack through a Saturday morning.

Anyways, back to chores – sooner done, sooner over. 🙂
