Oh air conditioning unit, how you keep me sane. And make me look like less of a wuss than my Texas peers, who get all sneery when I start complaining about temps being in the 70s. Well hrm… A/C isn’t so standard folks; 70 might be great to be out in with a breeze, but it’s not much fun to sit through indoors. Or that might be more that the standing temperature in my home is usually in the high 80s because of the shop downstairs… whatever the case, the A/C getting the nasty humidity pumped out of my living room is bliss and sanity rolled all into one.

However, if you want a real hot mess, check out the US deficit blah blah blah. Good job guys, agreeing to put off the inevitable for another ten years (supposedly – I give it 3-5), and show just how many of your constituents are brainwashed not-so-brights. Yes yes, there’s this brass ring that we’re all supposed to aspire to grab hold of, which is why we’re supposed to be so generous in our lack of taxes on the rich because that could someday be us. Oh la dee da, I will oh so happily pay so much more than my share because winning the lottery and being struck by lightning are the American way! *snorts*

Oh well… at least it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. That’ll help wash away some of this heat, though not do anything for the US being stupid. :/
