Thar She Blows!
It seems that autumn is already trying to blow in with a vengeance – yay! Autumn is my favourite season, so sitting here watching rain and cold splat against the sliding glass doors brings me immense joy. Oh sure, it’s not ‘cold’ yet; the temperature is still in the high teens (Celsius)//60s (Fahrenheit). But the winds, well… they’re the sort that say, very forcefully, “Change is coming on my back.”
Otherwise, it’s just a day at the office, folding things and shoving them into envelopes. It’s a meditation of sorts, and shall keep me quiescent until 2:30pm, when Parliament holds their next bit of discussion on the Health and Social Care Bill. While this is supposed to be the report stage of things, I understand that the amendments proposed by both Nadine Dorries and Louise Mensch could be called for discussion vote. The BBC states that there are well over a thousand amendments up for consideration (?!!), so I guess we’ll see what happens over the next couple of days.
And in the interest of fairness, here’s a link to Miss Dorries blog: http://blog.dorries.org/ I’m not sure what I think of a blogger who cannot be arsed to use spell-check (better has two ts, dear), but she’s as entitled to her opinions as anyone else, I guess. if they are even her own; she herself admits that her blog is 70% fiction. Shame, shame. But then, as she’s in a ridiculously safe political seat (the Conservative party have held it since 1931), then I guess she can make up all the crazy crap she wants to and push all the extremism she wants to. But still, people wonder why most have no interest in politics…
Anyways, the rain is positively gouting, so I’m going to go back to starting at that and squealing. Have a nice day!
