Methinks that this is going to be a very good weekend to attempt to ignore the world. With tomorrow being the major anniversary of a ridiculous blunder and pile of lies, I’d rather not have my brain space inundated with Crap™®. I can only hope that the blinders will magically come off my fellow Americans and more will realize, ‘Ohai, nothing is happening, nothing has happened in a loooooong time – can I have my freedoms back please?’ I somehow doubt those will ever be returned, but eh… hope springs eternal. That was probably one of the most soul-destroying things about my military time – seeing freedoms erode, and feeling that I couldn’t say a damned thing without being jailed for a traitor. Soooo good to have freedom of speech again…

Anyways, I’m going to get back to my weekend. There’s LotRO to play, and LotR to read; the Fellowship has reached Durin’s Gate to Moria, and I’m stupendously happy to actually be that far along and to know where these places are and all of that. Hope that your weekend is also enjoyable!
