‘Tis the Season…
With the weather changing, the Occupy movement is in increasing need of weather-appropriate gear. The ‘main’ protest in New York is a prime example of this:
Urgent: Winter Donation Needs

If you’d prefer to help your local people instead, why don’t you find your local action and find out what supplies they need and how you can help. Basic decent human compassion pretty much insists that this is the appropriate protocol, no matter how you might specifically feel about the protest or the protesters. Even if it’s just ditching your old winter gear or unfashionable clothing on them rather than donating them to charity, it’s something kindly done for people attempting to stand up and have a voice. No matter what the opinion or orientation, this is to be celebrated. After all, I think the Tea Party folks are kind of missing the point and letting themselves be misused, but I always have and always will celebrate their right to have an opinion.
Besides, the way to make the world better is love, compassion, and positive feelings. I know that it’s sometimes hard to get that ball rolling (I know how VERY hard it is, thank you self-sabotaging brain!), but we reap what we sow. So why not sow goodness and love and watch it come back to you. I’m not saying that it’ll magically make all the bad and negative and hate go away (it never will). I merely suggest that we can try to not add to it as best we can. As Bill and Ted said, and I will repeat forever – be excellent to each other.
And otherwise, enjoy your Monday.
