Occupy: Spring Has Sprung
It happened a few days early, but we can forgive Occupy Wall Street for starting their next wave of occupation to match up with their half-year anniversary rather than the actual start of spring. And, as expected, the police are already taking rank advantage of the government’s callous disdain for freedom of speech:

Silencing Occupy

Add in the fun of this year’s National Defense Authorization Act, and it’s pretty scary being a protester in America these days. It’s nerve-wracking a supporter of Occupy here in the UK too, if only for the fact that the UK government considers the Occupy movement to be a terrorist group. But let’s face it – breaking point has come and gone. It is amazing to see so many people remembering that they do have a voice, and that they should indeed raise it. All the crimes that the governments and the police commit against the people to silence them only serves to infuriate and incense yet another fence-sitter, to bring them into the fold of having to admit – things aren’t right. Things need fixing. We all need to work together to fix them.
I think, mes amis, we are in for an interesting year – let’s do our best to contribute to it.
